Islamabad, Apr 23: Pakistan cricketers, whose contracts have either been terminated or suspended, may get a chance to settle their monetary and contractual issues with the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The officials of the Portfolio World, a sports management company, hired by Pakistan cricketers, are flying to Mumbai, India for negotiations with the IPL bosses.

Portfolio World chief executive officer Salman Ahmed confirmed this to Daily Times on Wednesday.

"Yes we are travelling to India to negotiate with the IPL management and also to talk to our lawyers there," added Salman.

The IPL, which owes 38.5 million dollars to Pakistan players, has terminated contracts of Younis Khan, Malik, Shahid Afridi, Salman and Shoaib Akhtar, who all played in the inaugural IPL tournament and suspended contracts of Sohail Tanvir, Umar Gul, Misbah and Kamran Akmal.

Saying that his main objective to visit India was to consult legal aid on this issue, Salman Ahmed said, "The IPL administration is yet to issue termination-suspension letters to our cricketers who were verbally told about the decisions. Our efforts will be to handle this issue in a positive manner."

He added that presently they were planning to issue a legal notice to the IPL and that they would file a case if need be.
