Will not support Cong or BJP govt: Naveen Patnaik

Bhubaneshwar, Apr 23: Naveen Patnaik, the Orissa chief minister said that his party Biju Janata Dal (BJD) will not support a government or form an alliance with Congress party or the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Patnaik gave preference for a non-BJP and non-Congress government at the Centre after the Lok Sabha polls. Naveen added that his party is confident of winning majority in Orissa and there is no possibility of an alliance once again with BJP.

Orissa chief minister said that after the 2008 Kandhamal riots it became 'impossible to carry on with BJP' and he decided to break up with the Hindutva party.

Bhubaneswar, July 10: The flash floods caused by torrential rains in Balasore and Bhadrak districts of Orissa have so far claimed 16 lives and affected over a million people, official sources said here today. Bhubaneswar, July 8: Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today made an aerial survey of Balasore and Mayurbhanj, the worst flood affected districts of the state. Presiding over a review meeting at Balasore, the Chief Minister said the situation was grim. He directed the officials to increase the pace of relief and rescue work in the affected areas. State Revenue Minister Manmohan Samal and Panchayati Raj Minister along with the MLAs of the districts.....
