Los Angeles, Apr 23: Anoop Desai, the Indian-American contestant has been voted out of the eight season of 'American Idol'.
Dubbed as 'Noop Doog' by judges Anoop was sent back home along with 24-year-old Memphis native Lil Rounds after the due got least number of viewer votes on the popular Fox singing competition. "I'm so really disappointed. I really am," the 22-year-old college student from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, said after his ouster from the show on Thursday, Apr 22 night.
Desai had become one of the 13 finalists on the 'Idol' after judges selected him as final wild card pick. The 5 finalists left on the show now are Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey, Kris Allen, Allison Iraheta and Matt Giraud. The final is less than a month away.
