The young BJP neta reached District Collector office amid tight security along with his mother ans submitted his nomination papers to the district poll officer. While Varun was filing papers his supporters were shouting slogans as Varun Gandhi aage baddho, hum tumhare saath hai.
Earlier, addressing a rally in Nawabganj, he said he does not regret his imprisonment in Etah jail. "I will keep fighting for issues of farmers no matter how many times I am sent to Etah." He related his imprisonment in Etah jail to the prestige of public. "I opted for imprisonment valuing public's sentiments. I don't regret my imprisonment and I will do everything to maintain people's dignity," said Varun.
