Will be more careful with campaign speeches: Varun

New Delhi, Apr 18: After being released from his detention in the Etah Jail, on Thurday, Apr 16; Varun Gandhi met the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L K Advani on Saturday, Apr 17. During which Advani reportedly told Varun to respect the undertaking he had put before the Supreme Court.

According to sources, Varun thanked Advani for his support while he was under arrest and in Etah jail.

Advani has reportedly asked Varun to be cautious. Varun in turn assured Advani that he would be more careful with his campaign speeches.

During the meeting, Advani also inquired about Gandhi's campaign plans. The BJP leader also enquired in detail about Varun's experience in Etah jail.

Varun was released from the Etah jail in Uttar Pradesh after he gave a fresh undertaking to jail authorities that he will not make inflammatory speeches.

The BJP nominee from Pilibhit constituency pleaded for bail saying he had to file his nomination on Apr 21 to enable him to contest the Lok Sabha elections.

Criminal Case against Varun Gandhi: EC

New Delhi, Mar 17: Election Commission of India has decided to file a criminal case against Varun Gandhi for his communal speeches against Muslim community during his election campaign in Pilibhit. ECI will file a case for non-bailable offence against Varun under the India Penal Code. EC which reviewed the CD that shows Varun making 'hate speech' against Muslims has decided to serve notice to both Varun Gandhi and his party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Varun, BJP candidate.....
