Varun has promised he will follow code of conduct

Etah, Apr 15: Varun Gandhi, has submitted an affidavit to the District Magistrate Gaurav Dayal on Tuesday, Apr 14 that he will not make any more hate speeches. The Supreme Court, on Thursday, Apr 16 will receive this plea for bail against the National Security Act slapped on him for making 'hate speech' while campaigning.

"In his affidavit Varun has promised that he will not deliver any hate speech and that he will follow the model code of conduct," Varun's lawyer Prashant Singh Atal.Varun Gandhi gave this undertaking following the suggestion by the Apex Court, that said that his bail and allowance to contest will be considered if he promised to not make any provocative speeches during his campaigning.

While making a representation to the Uttar Pradesh government he also stated that the alleged inflammatory speech was against Pakistan's ISI and al-Qaeda and not against any community in India.

Criminal Case against Varun Gandhi: EC

New Delhi, Mar 17: Election Commission of India has decided to file a criminal case against Varun Gandhi for his communal speeches against Muslim community during his election campaign in Pilibhit. ECI will file a case for non-bailable offence against Varun under the India Penal Code. If he is innocent why is he giving a commitment that he will not give hate speeches in the future?
