New Delhi, Apr 7: Ekta Choudhary, the Pantaloons Femina Miss India Universe 2009, said 'honesty' was the characteristic that helped her win the coveted title.
"Honesty will never let you down. If you are honest and a hard worker, things will definitely fall in place, sooner or later. You just have to believe in yourself. I did that because I knew it was now or never for me," said Ekta after winning the title.
Ekta remarked that apart from grooming, fitness and diction it was ultimately honesty and her never-say-die attitude that played the 'pivotal role' in her victory. She added that by putting her heart and soul to the contest and by perceiving it as once in a lifetime opportunity she was able to achieve the title.
Ekta Choudhary (22) from New Delhi was crowned Pantaloons Femina Miss India Universe 2009 on Sunday, Apr 5. Now she will represent India in the 58th Miss Universe pageant which will be held at the Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas on Aug 23.
