German DJ makes world record with week-long broadcast

London, April 7 (ANI): A German DJ has made a new world record after wrapping up his 'morning' show after a week.

Dominik Schollmayer, from Hit Radio Antenne in Hanover, central Germany, made the longest continuous radio show record with 169 hours of broadcast.

The 26-year-old, who was watched over by doctors throughout his attempt, beat previous record holder, an Indian DJ, by one hour, reports the Telegraph.

Dominik was given permission to play two records back to back up to six minutes along with a five-minute break every hour.But the sleep-deprived DJ worked three hours straight to enjoy a 15-minute break altogether.

A blog on the station's website reported the new title holder was seen doing a crazy dance around the studio few hours before he made the record-breaking broadcast. (ANI)
