Rajnath Singh to visit Varun Gandhi

Lucknow, Apr 6: Varun Gandhi who is behind the bars for this 'hate speech', will be visited by the Bharathiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh on Monday, Apr 6.

Earlier, several BJP leaders like M Venkaiah Naidu, Kalraj Mishra and state party president Ramapati Ram Tripathi, had met Varun Gandhi. Varun Gandhi was arrested on Mar 29 for his inflammatory speeches during election campaign in Pilibhit, and later UP govt slapped National Security Act (NSA) against him.

The new poster boy of BJP was moved from his constituency to Etah jail for security reasons.

Rajnath Singh will be addressing a public meeting in Etah after the prison visit.

New Delhi, Mar 20: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) affirmed that Varun Gandhi is their candidate from Pilibhit consitutency of Uttar Pradesh despite Election Commission (EC) taking action against him for his 'hate speech.'Prakash Javadekar, BJP spokesperson said, "Varun Gandhi is our candidate from Pilibhit. He is the declared candidate of the party." When mediapersons asked what party would do if Varun is found guilty by poll panel then Javadekar said, "Let the Election Commission take action, then we will decide.".....

Cousin Priyanka advises Varun to read Gita

New Delhi, Mar 23: Priyanka Gandhi, cousin of BJP leader Varun Gandhi slammed Varun over his 'hate speech' in Pilibhit on Mar 6. Priyanka opined that she was sad to hear such statements from a member of a Gandhi family.Priyanka also advised him to read Bhagavad Gita and understand it better. She said: "I am very sad to hear these statements. He should read the Bhagwad Gita again," said Priyanka.Priyanaka lamented that the young Gandhi had gone.....
