Varun refuses to meet probing officer

Lucknow, Apr 5: Varun Gandhi, the new face of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) refused to meet the investigating officer who visited him in Etah jail to record his statement in connection with the cases filed against him. Varun is in jail for the 'hate speech' he allegedly made during election campaign his constituency in Pilibhit.

Bali Ram Rao, the investigating officer from Pilibhit said, "He (Varun) said that he will only talk to officials in the presence of his lawyer."

Gaurav Dayal, the Etah District Magistrate said that since the cases against Varun Gandhi are lodged in pilibhit, the further course of action will be decided from there. Uttar Pradesh government slapped the National Security Act against Varun Gandhi on Sunday, Mar 28 for his 'hate speech' and the violence following his arrest.

New Delhi, Mar 17: Varun Gandhi is in all troubles for his inflammatory speech which he gave in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh as part of a rally. After Election Commission issued notice to him, Varun alleged that the CD of the speech was forged.When asked whether the CD was forged, Varun was quick enough to answer 'Of couse it is forged'. New Delhi, Mar 17: Election Commission of India has decided to file a criminal case against Varun Gandhi for his communal speeches against Muslim community during his election campaign in Pilibhit.
