Sultanpur, Apr 4: Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi filed his nomination papers from Amethi parliamentary constituency at Sultanpur district headquarters on Saturday, Apr 4.
Rahul was accompanied by Congress President Sonia Gandhi and sister Priyanka Gandhi. Sonia Gandhi will will file her nomination papers from Rae Bareilly constituency on Apr 6.
The elections in Uttar Pradesh will be held in five phases: April 16, 23, 30 and May 7 and May 13.
Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee President Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Congress Legislative Party leader Pramod Tiwari, Captain Satish Sharma and Sultanpur Congress candidate Sanjay Singh were also present during the filing of the nomination papers.

Rahul is seeking election from Amethi for the second time. He had won from here in 2004.
