Supreme Court questions NSA on Varun

New Delhi, Apr 2: The Supreme Court of India on Thursday, Apr 2 challenged the Uttar Pradesh government and the District Magistrate of Pilibhit's decision of slapping the National Security Act against Bharatiya Janata Party leader Varun Gandhi.

The bench headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) K G Balakrishnan deferred the case for hearing on Apr 13. UP government slapped NSA on Varun allegedly for the 'hate speech' he made during his Pilibhit election campaign. Varun's lawyer said that his party is illegally detained, as the proceeding to be followed for arresting under NSA was not followed.

New Delhi, Mar 17: Varun Gandhi is in all troubles for his inflammatory speech which he gave in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh as part of a rally. After Election Commission issued notice to him, Varun alleged that the CD of the speech was forged.When asked whether the CD was forged, Varun was quick enough to answer 'Of couse it is forged'. New Delhi, Mar 17: Election Commission of India has decided to file a criminal case against Varun Gandhi for his communal speeches against Muslim community during his election campaign in Pilibhit.
