LeT militant arrested in Anantnag

Srinagar, April 1 (ANI): Security personnel arrested a Laskkhar-e-Toiba militant in Mohripora Achabal in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district on Wednesday in a joint operation of Anantnag Police, 162 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force and 36 and 187 Rashtriya Rifles.

A pistol, one pistol magazine and two hand grenades were recovered from the arrested militant.

Acting upon tip off Anantnag Police, 36 RR, 187 RR and 162 Bn CRPF raided a house of Majid Margay, son of Raheem, a resident of Mohripora, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Achabal and arrested one Lashkar-e-Toiba militant.

The arrested militant's name is stated to be Bilal Ahmad Koley ,son of Ahmad Koley, a resident of Kokernag. (ANI)

Jammu, Nov 30: Security forces recovered one kg black explosive, four UBGL grenades and two detonators besides a large quantity of arms and ammunition, from a militant hideout in twin bordering districts of Poonch and Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir, official spokesperson said today. Acting on a tip-off, the security forces unearthed the hideout erected by militants under boulders in Potha area of Poonch's Surankote area yesterday, the spokesperson said. Three militants nabbed in Manipur

Imphal, Nov 27: Three militants were nabbed by the security forces in three separate incidents during the last 24 hours in Manipur. The personnel from 8th battalion of CRPF nabbed a suspected NSCN(IM) cadre at Bishenpur district, while he was extorting money from people, police said. Eight HNLC cadres likely to surrender

Shillong, Nov 24: At least eight senior Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) activists have decided to desert their camp in Bangladesh and surrender before police, intelligence sources said here today. The militants had decided to return to the mainstrean in protest against the style of functioning and policy of HNLC's self-styled ''Commander-in-Chief'' Bobby Marwein, the sources added. The sources hoped that seven to eight senior HNLC cadres were not happy with their leader and would soon surrender before the police. UNI.....
