Pilibhit, Apr 1: BJP's saffron soldier Varun gandhi was shifted from the prison in Pilibhit to Etah jail in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, Mar 31 night. Reason: Intelligence sources claim that Dawood aide Chota Shakeel has plotted to kill Varun Gandhi.
He was shifted to a jail 200km away in Etah for the security reasons, said Pilibhit district jailor Mukesh Arora.
New police vehicles took charge in each district boundary to secure Varun's van during his journey.
