Lahore, Mar.28 (ANI): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a medical aid of 100,000 rupees for umpire Ahsan Raza, who was critically injured in the terror attack on Sri Lankan cricketers earlier this month.
"Raza will get 100,000 rupees compensation along with a stipend of 25,000 rupees per month for one year, while all his medical expenses will be borne by the PCB," The Daily Times quoted a PCB spokesperson, as saying.
Raza was seriously injured when the van he was traveling-in along with Australian umpire Simon Taufel and Pakistani umpire Nadeem Ghauri, was sprayed with bullets during a terror attack targeted at the Sri Lankan cricketers.
He had undergone two surgeries to repair a collapsed right lung and a damaged liver after being hit by bullets during the terror attack.
The PCB has also announced a compensation of 500,000 rupees for the family of driver Zafar Khan, who was killed in the attack (ANI)
