The resignation of Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss is likely following a decision by his father and PMK (Pattali Makkal Katchi )party founder S Ramadoss to align with the AIADMK, highly placed PMK sources said.
Ramadoss is on his way to Delhi to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress high command. With him Minister of State for Railways R Velu is also likely to step down.Seat-sharing talks between the PMK and Congress in Tamil Nadu broke down on Monday. Mar 23.The PMK is eyeing seven seats, a demand the Congress would not concede.
PMK is likely to announce a formal alliance with Jayalalithaa's AIADMK on March 26, 2009, added sources.
