New Delhi, Mar 22 : The Congress Party on Saturday, Mar 21 announced that it will contest 37 of the 40 seats in Bihar, leaving only three seats for the Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP).

Shinde, who is the chairman of the screening committee in Bihar, informed that he would be sending a list of names (seats) to the party's Central Election Committee for approval.

Lalu Yadav and Ram Vilas Paswan had on March 17 unilaterally announced 25 and 12 seats respectively for themselves, leaving just three seats for the Congress.
