Internet for all at Rs 200: BJP's IT vision

New Delhi, Mar 15: Unveiling the Bharatiya Janata Party's 'IT Vision' document, prime ministerial candidate LK Advani said if NDA is voted to power, it will make Multi-purpose National Identity Cards. Advani promised even to provide laptops to students at Rs 10,000 and broadband internet to all villages at a rate of Rs 200/month. The party also promised free mobile phones to people below poverty line.

"A BJP-led government will create a new policy climate where we use technology mainly for India's -- I would add, Bharat's -- sustainable development," said Advani. He added that his government would give prime importance to the use of technology to make national security robust, overcome the economic crisis, create large-scale productive employment opportunities and accelerate human development through vastly improved and expanded education and health care services.

He said the UPA government failed to make this 'connectivity revolution' a reality.

BJP releases chargesheet against UPA

New Delhi, May 22: Dubbing the UPA Government as a 'faceless, directionless and spineless' administration, the BJP said the three-year UPA rule at the Centre was a saga of compromises and failures endangering national sovereignty and security. The BJP citadel is crumbling , clearly visible across the country , the party is fighting with its back to the wall , surely L K Advani is proving to be a not so big leader as he was projected by the party and the media . The faith the party had in A B Vajpayee seems to be clearly missing with crutial partners in Orissa disengaging with them. The expectations from states like Karnataka will also prove to be costly as BJP is not expected to get more than 12 seats . Meanwhile congress looks like getting better in karnataka , orissa, kerala and bengal likely to give advantage congress .

Dear Advani you are talking about broadband & laptop for all children , see your current government in Karnataka , the way they are forcing out new investments , the worst government we have seen in the last fifteen years as far as the IT goes . They will ensure that the new job creation in bangalore will halt as they have virtually no idea about the way IT need to be promoted , we are definately not expecting any magic , this will be another flop show .
