Third Front will wither away with time: BJP

New Delhi, Mar 13 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday termed the Third Front a myth, and said it would wither away with time.

Third Front, an amalgam of smaller parties that considers itself an alternative to the Congress and the BJP, formally launched on March 12.

The BJP spokesperson prakash javdekar said the Third Front would be withering away after the elections.

Indian politics is a bipolar politics and it's between the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). So the Third Front leaders can claim anything but the Left parties will get reduced in their own states. They should better worry about their own seats," Javadekar told reporters here.

Meanwhile, the Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam (DMK) Chief M. Karunanidhi said that talks were on with the Congress to discuss the alliance.

"We have discussed the possible alliance with the Congress. At first both the parties will meet and then the result would be announced later," Karunanidhi said.

India will hold a general election between April 16 and May 13, in which 714 million people will be casting their votes. (ANI)
