Tata Motors ties up with SBT

Mumbai, Mar 13: Tata Motors entered into an understanding with State Bank of Travancore (SBT) for financing its range of passenger vehicles. The bank has 723 branches spread across the country.

The bank currently offers car loans up to 85 per cent of the on road price, for tenure ranging up to 7 years. It is offering car loans at rates frozen at 10 per cent up to May 15, 2010 for loans sanctioned on or before April 30, 2009.

The loans will be available in all branches of the bank and at all Tata Motors sales outlet.

Bangalore, July 17: Karnataka Industries Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu today informed the Legislative Council that Tata Motors has proposed to establish a new unit for manufacturing Luxury and small buses in Dharwad. Kolkata, Jul 12: Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee today alleged that the Tata Motors had secretly tied up with the foreign motor manufacturer Ford Company for the Singur project. Addressing a rally, organised by the AITTCC, party's trade wing, Ms Banerjee charged the CPI(M) with taking "cut money" from the small car project. Tapasi case: Debu Malik's jail custody till Jul 21

Kolkata, July 7: Debu Malik, arrested in the murder of Tapasi Malik, was today remanded in jail custody till July 21 by a sub-divisional court. CBI sources said Malik was produced before the Chandannagore court in Hooghly this morning and was ordered jail custody.
