Seat-sharing issues with BJP resolved: Shiv Sena

Mumbai, Mar 13: The differences between the Shiv Sena and BJP in Maharashtra over seat-sharing and swapping of some constituencies has been resolved and the two parties have finally decided to jointly fight polls in Maharashtra.

BJP will be contesting 26 seats and Shiv Sena will be contesting 22 seats like in the Lok Sabha Polls 2004.

The alliance is likely to be announced on Friday, Mar 13. A meeting decided that Sena would contest Mumbai South, Washim-Yavatmal and Kalyan seats and BJP would contest Bhiwandi and Jalgaon seats.

Sena plans to field sitting MP Mohan Rawle from Mumbai South. Formal announcement on seat-sharing between the two parties will be made on Friday, Mar 13 evening.

BJP releases chargesheet against UPA
