Lucknow, Mar 13, (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today invited the third front leaders for further discussions on the issues related to the front in New Delhi on Sunday.

In a bid to revive the united front at the centre, leaders of several non-BJP, non-Congress parties launched a Third front with the aim of usurping power in Delhi.

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) General Secretary Satish Chandra Mishra has said that party is keen to project Mayawati as the newly formed Third Front's Prime Ministerial candidate.

Sources claimed that Mayawati wants the Third Front to finalize the PM candidate by March 15, which also marks BSP founder Kanshi Ram's birth anniversary.

Leaders of the new alliance said both the Congress-led UPA and the BJP-led NDA have failed to address people's grievances and discounted suggestions that some regional parties are coming together on an opportunistic platform.

Meanwhile, talks are going on for seat sharing arrangement between Congress and NCP and BJP and Shiv Sena in Maharashtra. The Janata Dal (U) and BJP are still to finalise the seat sharing arrangement in Bihar. (ANI)
