Washington, Mar 9 (ANI): American pop singer Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is reportedly set to return to the small screen with a part on the Melrose Place remake.
Simpson-Wentz, 24, had landed a recurring role on 7th Heaven in 2002, and spent two years a member of the TV drama's cast, reports Contactmusic.
As per Entertainment Weekly, she is now set to act again after landing the part of Violet, a "small town girl" who is actually a "shrewd sex kitten within".
TV bosses at U.S. network The CW, who brought back Beverly Hills, 90210 as a spin-off last year, have ordered the production of a pilot episode of the new Melrose Place.
The show, which ran from 1992 to 1999, launched the careers of Marcia Cross and Kristin Davis and was notorious for its sensationalist storylines and extravagant characters. (ANI)
