4 Indians make it to Forbes philanthropy list

New York, Mar 5: Four Indians including telecom tycoon Sunil Bharti Mittal and NRI businessman Anil Agarwal made it to the '48 Heroes of Philanthropy' list compiled by Forbes Magazine.

Chairman of HCL Technologies, Shiv Nadar and Rohini Nilekani, wife of Infosys Co-founder Nandan Nilekani are the other two Indians featured in the Forbes list. The magazine in a report stated that many of these personalities have opened up their chequebooks to help the victims of the Sichuan earthquake and the Myanmar cyclone in May. Many had donated to health, education, cultural and other causes added the magazine.

24 Indians in Forbes 'World's richest list'

Washington, Mar 10: Including steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal, 24 Indians made it into the Forbes magazine's list of 'World's Richest'. Mittal is in fourth place. Three other who are placed in top 10 are Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani and KP Singh are fifth, sixth and eighth places respectively.After 13 years at the top, Microsoft founder Bill Gates is no longer the richest man in the world. That honor now belongs.....
