Security to SL cricketers 'hopeless': Chidambaram

New Delhi, Mar 3: Stating that security provided for Sri Lankan players were 'hopelessly inadequate', Union Home Minister, P Chidambaram condemned terrorist attacks on the players that left police personnel dead and seven to eight players injured.

"It is shocking," Chidambaram told reporters, reacting to the shootout in Lahore's Liberty Market crossing. The gunmen had used grenades and rocket launchers to attack.

Thilan Samaraweera and Upul Tharanga Paranavitharana were seriously injured and are now out of danger.

New Delhi, May 23: The Railway Ministry today announced revised schedule for the days of run of 4002 Attari Special and 4608 Samjhauta Express, linking Attari with Lahore, with effect from May 31. Accordingly, the 4608 Lahore-Attari Samjhauta Express and the 4002 Attari-Delhi special trun will run on every Tuesday and Friday instead of Monday and Thursday, respectively. The 4004 Delhi-Attari Special and 4607 Attari-Lahore Samjhauta Express will continue to run on Sunday.....
