Vaiko's links with LTTE revealed by Lankan army

Colombo, Mar 2: Photographs and video footage of MDMK leader, Vaiko with LTTE leader, Prabhakaran has been recovered from a building earlier occupied by the LTTE, claim Sri Lankan army.

One of the photos show Vaiko in LTTE uniform firing pistols with Prabhakaran. Another photo shows Vaiko delivering lectures to the LTTE cadres and having discussions with Prabhakaran.

The authenticity of the photos are yet to verified. Other details related to the photos are yet to be known.

Colombo: US, Italy Ambassadors injured

Colombo, Feb 27: At least six people, including the US and Italian Ambassadors to Sri Lanka, have been wounded in suspected LTTE shelling in the Eastern Batticaloa district today, military and diplomatic sources here said. According to the sources, the military helicopter carrying Sri Lankan Minister for Disaster Management and Human Rights Mahinda Samarasinghe, US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Robert O Blake and Italian Ambassador Pio Mariani, was landing when the shells suspectedly fired by the LTTE hit the landing pad.....

Colombo, Jan 31: Suspected Tamil Tiger rebels ambushed a police bus with a roadside bomb outside a university in eastern Sri Lanka today, killing six officers as they headed on leave, the military said.The attack in the restive eastern district of Batticaloa came after the government vowed to wipe out the Tigers militarily, a development analysts say could deepen a new chapter in a two-decade civil war.''A Claymore (fragmentation mine) attack in front of the Eastern University.....

when local tamils(indians)are having the similar situation like in Srilanka, why people are bothered about the Tamils in Srilanka. In what way, Tamils in Srilanka is related to Tamils in India ? Taking up cause on humanitarian grounds is something but on the basis of being Tamils, will it attract sympathy from the other non-Tamil Indians ? Some introspections is needed. Using Army to curb violence,treason is justified by any soveriegn republic.
