Troubled Symonds back with longtime girlfriend Katie Johnson

Melbourne, Mar 2 (ANI): Australia's troubled all rounder Andrew Symonds is back with girlfriend Katie Johnson, who has given him stability, only a month after they split.

Johnson was a source of strength when Symonds was dropped from the Australian team, and the break-up was a blow to the all-rounder, who is in his second period of counselling and rehabilitation.

Symonds and Johnson parted ways in December around the same time that Roy was dropped from the Australian squad to tour South Africa, The Courier Mail reported.

It preceded his most recent setback, a radio segment during which he made a derogatory remark about New Zealand wicketkeeper Brendon McCullum, for which he was fined 4000 dollars after a Cricket Australia disciplinary hearing.

But sources tell that the dashing all rounder and Johnson are trying to patch things up as the Queensland Bulls eye off another Sheffield Shield victory. (ANI)

Girls more resilient than boys in troubled households

Washington, Feb 12 (ANI): Girls growing up in troubled families are four times more resilient than boys in overcoming such adverse experiences, according to a new study.The researchers found that 70 percent of the children were exposed to two or more of adverse events such as having a heroin-addicted parent, these experiences include family mental illness, having a parent jailed, family violence, being a victim of abuse and having a parent die, and girls were more resilient than boys in.....
