New Delhi, Mar 1: Nearly 250 women paramilitary personnel under age of 25 will be available for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election duty. The women personnel who will pass out on March 3 have undergone weeks of intensive training from the training academy of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) at Shamshi in Himachal Pradesh.

The 250 women, constituting three companies, will be available for election duties in the forthcoming polls said SSB Director General M V Krishna Rao told.

The women are trained in weapon handling, intelligence, border management, sports, unarmed combat frisking and guarding duties.

The friendly borders of Nepal and Bhutan needs women guards as it involves frisking women travellers besides other relevant duties said Rao.

The three women companies will be led by male officers and will subsequently move to the force's sector headquarters like Patna, Lucknow and Guwahati for deployment along the borders.

Assam Company commences oil delivery from Amguri field

New Delhi, Feb 22 (UNI) Assam Company Ltd (ACL) has begun delivery of oil from its operated field in Amguri to Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) refinery in Guwahati, Assam, about 115 km away. The oil is being sold at the same price as a basket of crude oils with similar characteristics traded in the international market, a company release here said. The oil produced from Amguri is first trucked to Oil India Ltd (OIL) facility at Moran.....
