Slumdog star slapped by father

Mumbai, Feb 28: Just a day after Slumdog Millionarie child actors returned home with Oscars, they are witnessing the realty of slums again. Slumdog child actor, Azharuddin Ismail, who played the the role of younger Salim in the film, was slapped by his father for refusing to speak with media persons.Azaruddin, 10 years who was tired from his long flight from Los Angeles refused to meet curious onlookers and journalists. Angry father slapped him on Friday, Feb 28.

One of the pictures shows Azhar with tears and he is seen clutching his ears and sobbing in another photo. He along with Rubina Ali, who played young Latika and with other film cast of Slumdog went to Los Angeles for Oscar awards ceremony.
