'Slumdog', 'Jai Ho' top Hollywords

Los Angeles, Feb 27: Slumdog produced two of most influential words of 2008 Hollywood awards season. A R Rahman's 'Jai Ho' has not just enthralled Indian audience, it has been named as the Hollywood words of the year.

According to the Global Language Monitor, which uses an algorithm to track the frequency of words and phrases in the world's print and electronic media, said it was rare for two words from the same movie to be ranked in its annual list.

The controversial term 'Slumdog' coined by the film makers and 'Jai Ho' the Oscar winning best song by AR Rahman are ranked as top 'Hollywords' of the year.

The rags to riches movie, 'Slumdog Millionaire' was crowned eight Oscars, also including best picture and director.
