Delhi blasts: 2 fresh chargesheets against accused

New Delhi, Feb 27: The Delhi Police on Friday, Feb 27 filed two fresh chargesheets against the eight accused of Indian Mujahideen terrorist for carrying out Delhi serial blasts on Sep 13.

The chargesheets are filed against Mohd Saif, Zeeshan Ahmed, Zia-ur-Rehman, Saquib Nissar, Mohd Shakeel, Mohd Sadiq Sheikh, Qumuddin Kapadia and Mohd Hakim in connection with blast at Central Park in Connaught Place and the recovery of live bombs near India Gate in the capital.

The chargesheets were filed in the court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaweri Baweja which put them for consideration on Mar 4.

The police invoked various sections of the IPC, including waging war against the country, in the chargesheets. The accused were also charged under various sections of the Explosive Substances Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The police identified 29 persons as accused in the chargesheets.

Delhi blasts: Indian Mujahideen claims responsibility

New Delhi: Islamic terror group Indian Mujahideen has claimed the responsibility for serial blasts that rocked national capital Delhi on September 13. There have been five blasts in New Delhi killing at least 25 people and injuring at least 100.
