Thackeray's condition stable: Doctors

Mumbai, Feb 27: Doctors at Leelavati Hospital said Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray's condition is stable. Thackeray was admitted on Thursday, Feb 26 after following complaints of fever.

Doctors said that Sena chief's fever has come down, but he is very weak and feeling exhausted. Thackeray has been kept in the Intensive Care Unit and visitors are not allowed to see him. He will be discharged from hospital after two or three days.

Meanwhile Raj Thackeray, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief visited his ailing uncle on Friday, Feb 27 morning.

Mumbai, Aug 17: A local court today slapped a fine of Rs 500 upon Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray for his failure to appear before the court on a petition filed by NCP leader Munna Tripathi. Mr Tripathi has dragged Mr Thackeray to the court for publishing allegedly provocative articles in ''Saamna'' newspaper on July 21 last year. Publication of such articles could foment hatred between communities, Mr Tripathi contended. Additional Sessions Judge S J Shah had earlier adjourned the matter.....

Shiv Sena-BJP ties to come up for review on Aug 17

Mumbai, Aug 16: BJP's strained ties with the Shiv Sena are likely to come up for review at the meeting of party state unit's office-bearers tomorrow. The meeting assumes significance in view of the demand from senior leaders, including Gopinath Munde and Nitin Gadkari, to terminate the 23 year old alliance after the Shiv Sena decided to back UPA candidate Pratibha Patil in the Presidential election last month. Even though Shiv Sena backed NDA candidate Najma Heptullah.....

Thackeray lashes at CPM for Nandigram crisis

Mumbai, Nov 16: Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray today lashed out at the CPM for unleashing a reign of terror in Nandigram and accused the Congress of being a mute spectator to ensure survival of its own coalition government at the Centre.
