LTTE releases pics of Prabhakaran after strikes

V Prabhakaran
Colombo, Feb 20: The LTTE after making an air strike on Colombo has released pictures of LTTE chief Velupillai Prabhakaran with two black air tigers, identified as Col Rupin and Lt. Col Siriththiran. the pictures are to show Sri Lanka that Velupillai Prabhakaran is alive and in good health. The two tigers are the two who flew the aircrafts that dropped bombs in Colombo twelve hours ago.

The pictures are released when the Sri Lanka Government claimed that the war on LTTE is almost over and that the LTTE is cornered in an area on 100 kms. One of the pilots in the pictures is believed to be involved in LTTE's air-strike on a military camp in the northern town of Vavuniya in Sep 2008, killing 11 Sri Lankan soldiers.

If the two pilots in the pictures - Col Rupin and Lt. Col Srirththiran - are the ones who dropped bombs strikes in Colombo on Friday, Feb 20 night, then they could have died in the counter-offensive by the Lankan forces. Lanka's military spokesman Brig Udaya Nanayakkara has said that the wreckage and the body of the pilot were recovered near Katunayake air base.
