Hiddink says he is the boss at Chelsea

London, Feb 21 (ANI): Guus Hiddink, who will take charge of Chelsea for the first time on Saturday at Villa Park, wants Blues owner Roman Abramovich to be in no doubt about who picks the team and decides on tactics.

The new Chelsea manager takes control of his first match at Aston Villa today, The Sun reported.

"I don't talk with Roman a lot about specific tactics or strategy. We talk generally about football and he loves it. Ten years ago, though, I was in charge of Real Madrid and there was a clash with me and the president about playing some players who he liked to play," Hiddink said.

"I knew the consequences. But with Roman we don't go into details and he doesn't ask either. He can enjoy it when he is watching," he added.

Abramovich has been at the Dutchman's side constantly since he accepted the job as caretaker boss.

Yet Hiddink insisted: "He is not just showing off. He genuinely loves football. Yes, of course, he likes to see results. But there was no demand to 'Do this' or 'Do that'."

Hiddink also had words for the Chelsea stars who Phil Scolari blamed for getting him the sack.

He admitted that he welcomes strong personalities in his team, but he expects them to get results.

"In any group there is a hierarchy. That's how it should be.

With the right attitude you can challenge those players to take responsibility," Hiddink added. (ANI)
