SC Notice to Centre over closure of three PSUs

New Delhi, Feb 20 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Friday issued a notice to the Centre over the closure of three public sector undertakings (PSUs) manufacturing vaccines like DPT, measles, polio and BCG.

These PSUs are the Central Research Institute of Himachal Pradesh, Coonoor's Pasteur Institute of India and BCG Vaccine Lab in Chennai.

The apex court has sought a response from the Health Ministry. (ANI)

Bhopal, Aug 13: New mobile clinics would start functioning in 40 tribal blocks of nine tribal-dominated districts in Madhya from August 15, Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Ajay Vishnoi has said. ATSUM to go on indefinite strike from Aug 12

Imphal, Aug 7: The All Tribal Students' Union Manipur (ATSUM) has announced that it will go ahead with the indefinite agitation from August 12 if their demands are not fulfilled. Assistant general secretary of the ATSUM Apao Haokip here said the agitation will be launched as the government had allegedly failed to protect the rights of the SCs and STs. Hoshiarpur, July 30: All India Gujjar Mahasabha president Col Kirori Lal Bainsla has demanded that Gujjars belonging to the Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian and Jain communities should be given be given the benefits of Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST).
