Jet Airways CEO, Ravi Chaturvedi resigns

Mumbai, Feb 19: Stating personal reasons, Jet Airways (India) Ltd Chief Executive, Ravi Chaturvedi resigned on late Wednesday, Feb 18. Jet Airways is the largest airline by market share.

Jet's chief financial officer, Carl Saldanha, quit the company in August to join Indian back-office firm Firstsource Solutions Ltd.

Global recession and higher fuel prices has hit the aviation industry and Jet Airways reported a third quarter loss of 2.14 billion rupees ($42.8 million) compared with 911.2 million rupees of last year.

New Delhi, July 10: As a part of its comprehensive plans to expand its international operations and strengthen its management team, Jet Airways has appointed Mr Gerry Oh as its regional vice-president for southeast Asia. He will be based in Singapore and report to airline's executive vice-president for marketing Anita Goyal. Bangalore, Aug 30: Jet Airways will introduce Bangalore-Singapore daily flight service in December, it was announced today. Speaking to newsmen here, Jet Airways General Manager (South) U Harish Shenoy said that though the airways had several ideas to introduce services from Bangalore, it was waiting for allottment of slots in the upcoming International Airport near Devanahalli. Once it was decided, various services to cover destinations such as New York and San Fransisco would be considered, he noted. Replying to queries he said.....

Mumbai, Aug 1: Jet Airways and Citibank have announced an extension of their successful partnership with the launch of the super-premium Jet Airways Citibank Platinum and Jet Airways CitiBusiness Credit Cards.
