Holiday-maker Chicagoan violates Obama's airspace accidentally

Chicago, Feb.18 (ANI): US President Barack Obama's air security was breached last week, when a Chicagoan, Bob Graves, accidentally flew his small Mustang II airplane inside the restricted flying zone.

Graves took-off in his private flier last Saturday, without realizing that a temporary flight restriction was in place in a circle roughly 60 miles wide around President Obama's South Side home.

The manager of Chicago's Joliet Airport, Jennifer McFarland, said the breach was unintentional.

"It was an unfortunate situation for the pilot. He was just taking advantage of a nice day," the Chicago Sun Times quoted, McFarland, as saying.

Graves was escorted back to Joliet Regional Airport by an F-15 jet.

Taking note of the incident, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) spokesperson, Tony Molinaro, said small-plane pilots should always check the website of the FAA for 'Notices to Airmen' before flying to check for possible flight restrictions in their respective regions. (ANI)
