Lily Allen to sue UK tabloid over 'drugs endorsement' claim

Washington, February 17 (ANI): Lily Allen is calling her attorneys to take a British tabloid to court after it published a story claiming that she had urged parents to encourage their kids to try drugs in a foreign magazine interview.

News of the World had earlier reported that the pop singer told Dutch magazine Revu that potentially lethal Class A drugs like ecstasy might not harm them - so the best way to find out was to take them.

The translated interview published by the tabloid saw Allen saying: "Parents should say, 'Drugs might seem fun but they do funny things to your brain. Some people react to it good, some don't. Try it and see what you think.'

"If I hadn't been famous I'd have taken loads. Wouldn't be too wise right now."

And now, an enraged Allen is apparently set to file legal papers against the publication that inked the comments she allegedly never made.

"Phoning my lawyers and taking legal action, news of the world need a better dutch translator, as if I would say that (about drugs). And they know it," Contactmusic quoted her as saying on her Twitter blog. (ANI)
