Milan Derby defeat should not affect chances of staying on in Italy: Beckham

London, Feb.16 (ANI): England midfielder David Beckham has insisted that last night's Milan derby defeat will not wreck his hopes of staying on in Italy.AC Milan went down 2-1 to Inter and Becks said: "This result should not make one bit of difference. I'm aware they want me for the rest of the season."

"Hopefully things will go the way I want. They'll talk in the next week or two. If I do go back it will be a bit difficult. We'll have to wait and see. I'm always professional," The Sun quoted Beckham, as saying.Beckham last night became the first player in history to play in Europe's three major club duels.

He had already starred in Liverpool v Manchester United and Real Madrid v Barcelona and completed a triple at the San Siro.

"I'm proud to have played but we needed a win. There's still a title chance but it's slim," he said.(ANI)
