Marijuana case: Media seeks interview with Phelps
New York, Feb 13: Ace swimmer Michael Phelps is the most sought after TV celebrity these days, for producers of all chat shows trying to book interviews with the winner of 14 Olympic gold medals, who was recently involved in a cannabis smoking case.

"Everybody wants him on to explain why he was smoking marijuana," the New York Post quoted a source as saying.

"Oprah Winfrey, ABC, CBS, NBC - everyone wants him," the source added.

The newspaper also suggested that rumours were rife that Phelps was demanding one million dollars for the interview after Kellogg's dropped him as a spokesman following the scandal.

"No money is being talked about," said the source.
