Bindra flies high in the sky in F-16
Bangalore: Olympic gold medallist shooter Abhinav Bindra took a thrilling ride in the F-16 aircraft on the second day of the Aero India-2009 at Yelahanka air base in Bangalore on Thursday, Feb 12. This was Bindra's first one hour short trip in a fighter aircraft.

He rode tandem with former US Navy pilot Paul Randall. Speaking to a news channel Bindra said, "this is absolutely different and I've never attempted to do a thing like this. It's something new for me, it's a new experience. I'm looking forward to it.

The aircraft flew just below the speed of sound & performed fighter maneuvers at heights of up to 20,000 feet before it returned to the Yellahanka air base.

Cricketer Yuvraj Singh and astronaut Rakesh Sharma are also lined up to fly in the jets.
