Rebel ICL players may get PCB nod for international games

Karachi, Feb.11 (ANI): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) may allow players, who sided with the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL), to play in international games.

PCB chairman Ijaz Butt is expected to make an official statement regarding the fate of the 21 cricketers after a hearing in the Sindh High Court where the Board will place its stand on the banned players, The News reports.

The court had suspended a ban imposed by PCB on the players, last week, paving the way for their return in the first class arena. Players however, demanded consideration for national duty.

PCB chairman Butt asked the premier middle order batsman Mohammad Yusuf, who also parted with ICL, to discontinue his alliance with the rebel league and play for the national side.

Butt said the Yusuf will be considered for selection in the national squad, the day he snaps ties with ICL. (ANI)
