Ustad Zakir Hussain wins Grammy
New York, Feb 9: Music awards are raining for Indian artists. As India celebrates the glory of A R Rahman bagging BAFTA for Slumdog Millionaire, and now its Indian legend tabla maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain who has won the 'best contemporary world music album category', initial reports stated.

Global Drum Project consisted of three other musicians apart from Ustad Zakir Hussain - Mickey Hart, Sikiru Adepoju and Giovanni Hidalgo.

There was an interesting line up for Indian nominees at this year's Grammy Awards. There was Louis Banks, who got nominated under the Best Contemporary Jazz Album category.

It was disappointment for other two Indian musicians who competed against each other in the Best Traditional World Music album category. They are Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya and Lakshmi Shankar.

Armed militant arrested in Poonch
