New York, Feb 9: Four failed marriages have not reduced Sir Salman Rushdie's charm. Recently Rushdie was spotted with stunning Pia Glenn on his arm in a party.
The Booker prize-winning author, who parted ways with the beautiful 'Top Chef' host Padma Lakshmi in 2007, was seen with Glenn, 29 years his junior, at Mansion's opening-night party. When asked what their relationship be called, Rushdie agreed to nothing less than 'lucky'.
"That's a good word. She's unbelievably talented. She's a show-stopper, isn't she?" the New York Daily News quoted him as saying.
The 61-year-old has previously stated that he no longer harboured intentions of tying the knot again, though he did not rule out the possibility of falling in love.
The writer faced serious trouble with his fourth novel, 'The Satanic Verses', in 1988. He faced the wrath of Islamic nations and received death threats and a fatwa from Muslim protestors.
