Bangalore, Jan 27: Sri Rama Sena founder Pramod Muthalik has been arrested from Belgaum on Tuesday, Jan 27. He has been arrested for another pending case in Davanagere where he had given provocative speeches. He faces cases of inciting mobs through his speeches which provokes religious sentiments.

Even on Saturday, Jan 24 a group of 40 Sri Ram Sena activists reportedly barged into a pub, 'Amnesia' in Mangalore and attacked girls who were present there. Sena chief had justified the Mangalore Pub incident by saying it was a small incident and Sena is working against obscenity in public.

Earlier Muthalik was the Karnataka Chief of the Shiv Sena but parted ways with them over the Belgaum border issue. The Ram Sena is a non profit organisation and its motto is 'serve the society and prevent bad behaviour', Muthalik declared. He calls Sri Ram Sena as 'Hindu terrorist squad'.

The Sena is always covered with controversies. In 2007, its cadres attacked the house of M Karunanidhi's daughter Selvi at the height of protests on the Cauvery issue. It is also accused of church attacks. However, there is no confirmation of Sri Ram Sena organisation would be banned.
