CM Yeddiyurappa reacts on M'lore pub assault
Bengaluru, Jan 26: Two days after a group of 40 Sri Ram Sena activists barged into a pub in Mangalore and 'mercilessly beat up two girls', Chief Minister B S Yeddiyurrappa has reacted to the incident on Jan 26. At first, CM dismissed the incident as 'not worthy of his reaction'. He has assured a probe into the incident.

"Mangalore incident in unfortunate, nobody should take law into their hands...the police has arrested 10 people in the incident and probing the case," he said. State Home Minister V S Acharya earlier had said that the culprits will be brought to justice.

On Saturday, Jan 24, around 40 people reportedly barged into a pub on Balmatta Road in Mangalore and viciously attacked girls who were at the pub. At least two women have been hospitalised. Sri Ram Sena and the Bajrang Dal have reportedly, separately claimed responsible for the attack.

The staff members in pub said that few Ram sena perpetrators molested the women customers. Sene state deputy convenor Prasad Attavar who claimed responsible of the incident said it is the reaction against those women who disregard Indian traditional customs.

Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Renuka Chowdhary stated govts inaction and said, "I am saying the Chief Minister has to learn to get his act together to stop this. This is Talibanisation of India. I want to go to the Election Commission and say that these people should be defranchised. I am talking about the SRE, I am talking about the BJP if they are associated with this."

Alleging the BJP govt for such incidents Chowdhary said; "This kind of behaviour is absolute goondaism. They don't deserve to remain in a democracy. There is no place in a democracy for such Talibanisation and they are Talibanising India and I cannot accept that..." .

India isn't bad and it could beat all the western countries ONLY if such idiots living in this country would change there thinking. How is that these people can go ahead and beat some girls just because they are having a drink or whatever...yet high society people living in India do this all the time. It definitely is goondanism. These cults are nothing but thugs wanna be's and obviously they target average people since they know they don't have balls to do such things against many others especially high society people. When will people of INDIA change and when will they start to help each other. It hurts that two girls get beat up yet everyone in the club was sitting there watching the show. Hurts to see that these kind of people are even in existence in a Democracy like India.
