US 'invaders' will have to quit region, says Owais

Peshawar, Jan. 22(ANI): Pakistan's North Western Frontier province Governor Owais Ahmad Ghani has termed the United States-led allied forces as invaders and hoped that the forces would leave the region sooner or later.

Owasis was quoted by The News, as saying, "History proves that no invader ever succeeded in sustaining his existence for a long period in this region. NWFP governor was speaking at a function organized by the Khyber Medical University (KMU) at the Pakistan Institute of Community Ophthalmology.

Owais assured the residents of military hit tribal regions of NWFP, "There is nothing to worry about the future of this province."

Also, he said, the government got a remarkable achievement as it had been enjoying full support of the masses in fight against militants.

The governor also said that he had brought the plight of provincial people before the Pakistan Prime Minster Yousuf Raza Gilani in a recent meeting with the latter. (ANI)
