Sahara gets ManU sponshership proposal

Manchester United tries to woo Sahara India

New Delhi, Jan 21: Sahara India announced that it got a sponsorship proposal from top English Premier League side Manchester United. Abhijit Sarkar, the Sahara India Corporate Communications said that the proposal for shirt sponsorship was received a couple of days ago.

But Sarkar refuse to disclose further details and said that further deliberations on the proposal will take place later. It the proposal get cleared, it would be the first sponsorship by the Indian group at the international level in a sport played in over 200 countries.

Sahara Indian pariwar logo and name is a common sight with national cricket team members donning them on their T-shirts. Sahara have also sponsored the Indian Hockey senior and junior team besides the Calcutta Football League. They have also sponsored India's leading tennis players like Sania Mirza and Leander Paes.
