Good Bye folks: George W Bush
Washington, Jan 21: George W Bush, former US President on Tuesday, Jan 21 bid an emotional goodbye, taking a final stroll in the Oval Office ending his eight-year Presidency. He did not address the public before leaving Washington for Texas (his home state). He gave a private speech to the former staffers at the air force base that is home to Air Force One, now President Barack Obama's aeroplane.

Sources said that Bush described himself as 'thankful, grateful and joyful and would now take pride in being known as 'Citizen Bush.' Earlier the day George W Bush hosted a traditional private coffee at the White House for Barack Obama, before the inauguration as the first black US President. Bush also followed the custom of leaving a note to the incoming President in the top drawer of the massive Resolute Desk (Made from the timbers of the British ship of the name) in the Oval Office.

Dana Perino, Bush's spokeswoman declined to divulge the details of the letter, but said that he focused on 'the fabulous new chapter President-elect Barack Obama' is about to start and that he wishes him the very best.' In his last hours remaining in the Oval Office, Bush spoke to US Secretary to the State Condoleezza Rice, National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley, and former White House chief of staff Andy Card.
