Ad-hoc hockey team denies internal rift

New Delhi, Jan 21: In the wake of resignation of Randhir Singh of Indian hockey selection committee, there were rumours that there was a rift in the committee. But the ad-hoc committee says that 'it's all well' within the committee.

The other decision made were that Hockey nationals will be held from the March 2 in Pune.

The selection committee has been further strengthened with former captain Pargat Singh and Jagbir Singh also joining the 5 member team which will also function as the technical committee.

One of the selectors will always travel with the national squad and proposals for a new coach are also being considered.

FIH looking to replace India as World Cup venue

''The FIH reconsidered the conditional awarding of the World Cup 2010 to New Delhi. After having carefully studied the progress made with the project 'Promoting Indian Hockey' as well as the actions taken in the preparation of the World Cup 2010, the Executive Board noted that satisfactory progress.....
